Pinterest analysed the emerging trends from the past year and it now has curated what will be popular this year in the form of Pinterest 100 for 2017. It looks at beauty, food, decor, fashion and everything in between. The trend report has a few entries regarding hair and of course, Natural By Nature will share it with you!
1.No Heat Hairstyles
Of course, natural hair isn’t going anywhere! Pinterest has found that searches for natural hair is up 35% since 2015. This year, the focus is on heatless hairstyles. If you are #teamnoheat then you have been on trend for a while. If not, leave the heat and get those perfect curls with bantu knot outs, perm rods and flexi rods. Want a straighter look? Use the African threading method to stretch your hair.
2. Scarfs & Wraps
We can accessorise with jewellery, so we can definitely do the same for our hair. There is a plethora of hair scarfs and wraps to jazz up a hairstyle or if you think you are having a bad hair day, then wrap up your hair and you’re good to go! From block colours to ankara print, there is a style for everyone!
3. Braided Top Knot
Take updos a little further with the braided top knot. Attention to the look according to Pinterest has gone up by a whopping 125% ! Our feature image shows off the look perfectly. Try the braided top knot today!
4. Silver Ash/Blonde Ombre Hair
Now this sounds a bit out there. Silver and blonde? However, we’ve checked out the colour combo and it looks great! Take inspiration from blogger Nyané Lebajoa. If 2017 was ever the time to step out of your comfort zone and try something different, then this may be it!
5. Essential Oils
There are many benefits of adding essential oils to your hair regime! The Jane Carter Solution Scalp Renewal is a great place to start as it is packed with essential oils- your scalp will thank you. Pinterest has put jojoba oil in the spotlight as it hydrates the skin and hair which can give you ‘radiant results’. Many products we sell contain jojoba including Root 2 Tip’s Triple M Miracle Moisture Milk.
